Hello and Welcome to My Literary Debut...

My name is Erin Ambrose and I did a thing... when my three old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1  diabetes we struggled with finding distraction methods to ease her needle anxiety and frustration with pump and sensor changes - and that is how these stories were born - they were just the trick to lure her into relaxation and transport her to a different world, a world that doesn't include needles and hooking her up to pieces of machinery. With all the stories starting the same way...

“Tell me a story, mommy.”

“Ok, what do you want to hear about?”

“Bad guys, witches, pies and a maaaagical princess named Bennett, like me!”

“Hm…I think I can do that.”

Although they tested my imagination, these stories allowed me to join her in this imaginary world, and that is something I will always treasure—and surely miss—when she eventually outgrows the magical creatures, curiosity, and the subtle plots of kindness and compassion. I can only hope she grows up to carry those qualities with her, sharing them with the world.

I never imagined I’d have the courage to put these stories down on paper, let alone send them off to publishers with a small dream of sharing them with the world. But a good friend said, “Show Bennie how to go after those dreams!” So, here we are...
